Newz Desk, Salanpur (Asansol): The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list is in its final phase across West Bengal, amid ongoing political allegations and reports of unfortunate incidents involving Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and voters. Amid this tense environment, a positive development has emerged from Salanpur block in Paschim Bardhaman district.
Binita Kumari, the Booth Level Officer of Booth No. 115 in Salanpur, has successfully completed the SIR process in just 20 days—well ahead of schedule. During this period, she uploaded SIR forms of 732 voters, finishing her task before the designated deadline.

Recognising her exceptional efficiency and dedication, the Salanpur block administration has officially felicitated her. Officials described her achievement as a “model example” and highlighted it as an inspiration for the entire district.
Speaking about her work, Binita Kumari said, “I visited every household, distributed the forms and collected them within the stipulated time. After that, I uploaded all the forms on the app without delay.”
Her efforts demonstrate that commitment, discipline and strong organisational skills can make even large administrative tasks achievable within tight timelines. The administration noted that such examples would help improve both the speed and quality of work across the district, motivating other BLOs and officials.
