Newz Desk, Durgapur: Punjab National Bank (PNB) has once again demonstrated its commitment to standing by its customers and their families during times of crisis by handing over an insurance claim cheque of ₹1 crore to the nominee of a deceased customer.
Mr Devan Ray, an employee of Demomain Colliery and a salary account holder with Punjab National Bank, tragically lost his life in a road accident. Following his death, the bank processed the insurance claim under the Personal Accident Insurance cover available with its savings account, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
The insurance claim cheque of ₹1 crore was handed over to his nominee and wife, Mrs Lakhi Devi. The financial assistance is expected to provide substantial support to the bereaved family during this difficult period.
The cheque was jointly presented by Mr Sanjeev Kumar, Circle Head, Mr Satyendra Mishra, Circle Office Head, and Mr Rajesh Srivastava, Deputy General Manager of Punjab National Bank, at the bank’s Durgapur Circle Office.
On the occasion, the senior officials paid tribute to the departed soul and expressed their deepest condolences to the bereaved family. They also reiterated PNB’s commitment to supporting its customers and their families in times of need.
