Newz Desk, Durgapur: Bharti Airtel has partnered with YouTube to offer YouTube Premium to its prepaid customers, expanding its digital entertainment portfolio with ad-free video streaming, background play, offline downloads and access to YouTube Music Premium.
The new benefit will be available through Airtel’s ₹200 OTT top-up, which also offers 30GB of additional data and access to multiple streaming platforms. The move aims to cater to changing digital consumption habits, as customers increasingly use mobile data to watch videos, follow creators, stream music and discover online content. With this addition, YouTube Premium joins Airtel’s existing entertainment offerings, which include Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 Premium, SonyLIV and more than 18 other OTT platforms.
The partnership expands Airtel’s prepaid entertainment proposition beyond conventional movies and web series to include ad-free YouTube viewing and premium music streaming. YouTube Premium also enables users to play content in the background and download videos for offline viewing, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
The ₹200 top-up is available to Airtel prepaid customers with an active recharge and can be purchased across existing prepaid plans. Customers can claim their YouTube Premium benefit through the ‘Rewards & OTTs’ section of the Airtel App after purchasing the top-up.
The entertainment benefits will remain valid for 28 days, in line with the top-up’s validity. Customers wishing to continue using the benefits after expiry can purchase the top-up again and reclaim YouTube Premium.
Through the partnership, Airtel aims to bring mobile data, premium entertainment and multiple digital services together in a single offering, providing prepaid users with greater choice and convenience in accessing online content.
