Newz Desk, Durgapur: UCO Bank commemorated its 84th Foundation Day with a special programme held at a hotel in City Centre, Durgapur, on Tuesday. The celebration began on a traditional note with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy General Manager and Zonal Head Vinod Kumar extended warm greetings to employees and customers, marking the bank’s 84 years of dedicated service. The occasion was further enlivened with a cake-cutting ceremony held in the presence of children who attended the programme.
B-Zone branch head Nisha Rani Chowdhury, in her address, reiterated UCO Bank’s unwavering commitment to protecting customer interests. Emphasising the bank’s customer-centric approach, she said that grievances are addressed promptly and on priority. She also highlighted several recent projects and financial initiatives undertaken by the bank and encouraged customers to make full use of its wide range of banking services.
Sharing his experience, customer Raju Dey appreciated the quality of services provided by UCO Bank and its continued focus on customer satisfaction.
Reflecting on the bank’s journey, Zonal Head Vinod Kumar recalled that UCO Bank was founded 84 years ago under the leadership of industrialist G.D. Birla and has since grown into a strong nationwide institution. He noted that the bank now operates around 3,300 branches across the country, underscoring its expanding presence, and reaffirmed that enhancing customer service remains its core objective.
The event was attended by bank officials, employees, their family members, customers, and other dignitaries. The Foundation Day celebration once again highlighted the B-Zone branch’s legacy of trust, service, and dedication to its customers.
