Doctor Applies Fevikwik on Child’s Head Wound

Newz Desk, Durgapur: A child suffered a head injury and heavy bleeding after hitting a table while playing. His parents rushed him to the hospital, but the attending doctor allegedly applied Fevikwik (a quick-setting adhesive) on the wound instead of proper medical treatment.

The incident took place in Jagriti Vihar, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Sardar Yashpindar Singh alleged that he took his injured son to the local Bhagya Shri Hospital. After examining the child, the doctor reportedly asked him to buy Fevikwik for ₹5. When he returned with it, the doctor applied the adhesive directly to the wound.

The child continued to experience pain even after returning home. The next morning, the parents took him to another hospital, where doctors took three hours to clean the adhesive from the injury before stitching the wound properly.

The family has lodged a complaint with the Chief Minister’s Office. Meerut’s Chief Medical Officer has assured appropriate action once the investigation report is received.
