Newz Desk, Durgapur: As anticipation builds for the FIFA World Cup Final, Airtel has announced that many of its Wi-Fi + TV (IPTV & DTH) customers can watch the tournament’s biggest match through their existing subscription plans, eliminating the need to purchase a separate streaming or television package.
Customers subscribed to eligible Airtel Wi-Fi + TV plans can activate the Unite8 Sports channels for just ₹24 per month, allowing them to watch the FIFA World Cup Final live in both English and Hindi. The company said the offer enables football fans to enjoy the match at a minimal additional cost while making full use of the entertainment benefits already included in their plans.
Airtel has advised customers to check their current plan details through the Airtel app, where they can view the entertainment benefits available with their subscription. Users who are already on eligible Wi-Fi + TV plans can activate the required sports channels directly through the app.
Customers currently using Airtel’s broadband-only service can also upgrade to an Airtel Wi-Fi + TV plan via the Airtel app to gain access to television services along with additional entertainment benefits.
Airtel’s Wi-Fi + TV plans, which start at ₹599 per month, combine high-speed fiber broadband with IPTV or DTH services. Depending on the chosen plan, subscribers may also receive access to a range of OTT platforms, offering entertainment beyond live sports.
With the FIFA World Cup Final expected to attract millions of viewers, Airtel has encouraged customers to review their existing subscriptions before purchasing a standalone streaming or television package, as many may already have access to the match through their current plan or by adding the sports pack at a nominal cost.
