Newz Desk, Durgapur: Several fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies said that they will be passing on the full benefit of GST rate cuts to consumers. As such, Prices of Mother Dairy paneer packs of 200 gm and 400 gm, will fall to ₹92 and ₹174 from ₹95 and ₹180 earlier. Packaged paneer will be exempt of GST from September 22. And 180 ml packs of milkshakes will now retail at ₹28 instead of ₹30. The 180 gm pack of cheese cubes will to fall to ₹135 from ₹145 earlier.
Additionally, 200 gm packs of tomato puree will cost ₹25 from ₹27 earlier, while 400 gm packs of pickles will cost ₹120 from ₹130 earlier. These were in the 12 per cent slab earlier and have moved to the 5 per cent slab now.
Meanwhile, ice creams, which attracted 18 per cent GST earlier, will now move to the 5 per cent slab. Chocobar, vanilla cups, and ice candies priced at ₹10 earlier will cost ₹9, while prices of 100 ml of butterscotch cones will fall to ₹30 from ₹35 earlier and 150 ml packs of cassata will cost ₹60 from ₹70 earlier.
On Saturday, consumer goods major Hindustan Unilever, in newspaper advertisements as mandated by the government, announced price cuts in several products of its portfolio.

- Dove Shampoo (340 ml): Price reduced from ₹490 to ₹435
- Lifebuoy Soaps (pack of 4, 75 gm each): Price reduced from ₹68 to ₹60
- Sunsilk Black Shine Shampoo (350 ml): Price reduced from ₹430 to ₹370
Foods & beverages
- Boost (300 gm): Price reduced from ₹124 to ₹110
- Knorr soup (67 gm): Price reduced from ₹65 to ₹55
- Bru coffee (75 gm): Price reduced from ₹300 to ₹270
