Newz Desk, Asansol : In a verdict delivered on Monday, a fast-track court in Asansol convicted one man in a two-decade-old murder case while acquitting five others, including the victim’s husband.
Judge Mahua Roy Basu of the Fast Track Second Court found Shankar Ghorui, a resident of Churulia under Jamuria Police Station, Asansol, guilty of murdering his daughter-in-law, Tumpa Ghosh, also known as Ghorui, under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code.
The remaining five accused, including the victim’s husband, were acquitted of all charges.
