Newz Desk, Durgapur March 30: Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport is set to witness a significant enhancement in air connectivity as the DGCA-approved Summer Schedule 2026 comes into effect from March 29, 2026.

According to airport authorities, the revised schedule introduces improved frequency and expanded connectivity to several key metro cities across the country. Daily flights will now operate from Durgapur to major destinations including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Delhi, ensuring greater convenience for both business and leisure travelers.

In addition, enhanced connectivity to Navi Mumbai has been introduced, with flights scheduled five days a week on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. The airport will also offer five weekly flights to Chennai, operating on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

Airport Director Kailash Mandal expressed optimism about the expanded schedule, highlighting that the increased frequency and additional routes are expected to strengthen regional connectivity and support economic growth in the industrial belt of West Bengal.
