Dream Theater Kick Off 40th Anniversary India tour with Bengaluru and Kolkata shows

Newz Desk, Durgapur: Legendary progressive metal band Dream Theater is set to return to India in January 2026, marking a major milestone in their four-decade-long career. As part of their 40th Anniversary Tour, the band will perform two exclusive shows in the country, bringing their celebrated legacy and high-voltage live sound back to Indian audiences.

The India leg of the tour begins in Bengaluru on January 30, 2026, at Phoenix Market City, followed by a Kolkata concert on February 1, 2026, at Aquatica Lawn. Both shows are expected to feature an extensive setlist spanning Dream Theater’s iconic catalog, offering fans a deep dive into the band’s evolution over the last 40 years.

Adding to the excitement is the return of founding drummer Mike Portnoy, reuniting with the band’s classic lineup that includes John Petrucci on guitar, James LaBrie on vocals, John Myung on bass, and Jordan Rudess on keyboards. For long-time fans, this reunion makes the anniversary tour particularly special.

Expressing his excitement, vocalist James LaBrie said the band is thrilled to celebrate the milestone with Indian fans. He described audiences in India as passionate and energetic, adding that performing in Bengaluru and Kolkata would make the tour even more memorable.

The India concerts are being promoted by E-factor Experiences, SkillBox, and THE Festival, with organizers aiming to deliver a world-class production experience.
