DPS Durgapur marks 77th Republic Day with patriotic zeal and constitutional spirit

Newz Desk, Durgapur: Delhi Public School, Durgapur, celebrated the 77th Republic Day with solemn pride and patriotic enthusiasm on Monday, reaffirming its commitment to constitutional values and responsible citizenship.

The National Flag was unfurled by the Chief Guest, Group Captain Ankit Raj Singh, Vayu Sena Medal (Gallantry) awardee and Chief Operations Officer, Air Force Station Arjan Singh, in the presence of his spouse Ms Pratima Singh. The ceremony began with the National Anthem, setting a dignified tone for the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Principal Sri Umesh Ch. Jaiswal highlighted the significance of Republic Day and the role of education in nurturing citizens who uphold democratic ideals and constitutional duties. Students showcased a vibrant cultural programme featuring skits, musical performances, and dances that reflected themes of patriotism, digital responsibility, Fundamental Duties, and national unity.

A total of 160 students participated in the celebrations, with performances inspired by iconic patriotic compositions such as “Vande Mataram,” leaving the audience deeply moved. In his address, the Chief Guest encouraged students to imbibe discipline, integrity, and a spirit of service, drawing from his experiences in the Indian Air Force.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving participants and attendees with a renewed sense of national pride and respect for the Constitution of India.
