‘Aritra’ to Represent West Bengal at World Yoga Cup 2025

Newz Desk, Durgapur 4th December: In a proud moment for West Bengal, young yogasana talent Aritra Adhikary resident of Khandra under Andal PS has secured official selection to represent the state — and the nation — at the prestigious IV UYSF World Yoga Cup 2025, to be held on 27 December 2025 at Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Auditorium, Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR).

Aritra’s a class II student of Hemsheela Model School, Durgapur, his achievement comes after years of rigorous practice, discipline, and deep dedication to the traditional art of Yogasana. His commitment to perfection and strong competitive spirit has earned him a place on the global stage, where top yoga athletes from around the world will showcase their skills.

Teachers, trainers, and well-wishers describe Aritra as a focused and determined athlete whose journey from local competitions to international recognition stands as an inspiration for countless young yogis across India. His selection reinforces the rising prominence of Indian youth in international yogasana championships.

Aritra’s uncle Taraknath Adhikary  “This is a dream come true for our family,” he said. “Aritra has worked tirelessly, waking up early, practising for hours, and balancing his studies with Yogasana. Seeing him earn a place on the world stage fills our hearts with joy. We always believed in his dedication, but this achievement is beyond anything we imagined.”
